Sustainable development is a great challenge for our society. As public awareness and media coverage of environmental issues expand, organizations are increasingly urged to integrate environmental considerations into their business strategy. The Green Business Forum 2014 intends to assist organizations, which are or aim to become sustainable, in generating added value and benefits from it.Last year’s edition attracted 200 participants from 19 countries and raised widespread positive feedback. This year the forum aims to further favour networking and the diffusion of sustainable practices and ideas by introducing an exhibition of actors that have sustainability embedded in their business strategy. This will enable participants to gain a valuable insight on the matter from a professional point of view, and exhibitors to promote themselves in a prestigious environment such as the Bank Center. The forum will include the contribution of Mr Janez Potočnik, EU Commissioner for the environment, and will also introduce the new global game-changing platform GreenAdvisor, which empowers everyone-everywhere to review, rate and locate businesses and institutions based on their eco-friendliness.
