The Institute for European Studies at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel kindly invites you to a policy forum on 6 March, 12:00-14:00.This policy forum will assess the path to implementing the directive into the Member States national legislation. Speakers will especially focus on the following issues: have the member states implemented the directive in an open or restrictive fashion, in similar or different ways? How can we evaluate the implementation process? Has the Blue Card contributed in making steps forward in the "race for talents", compared to its international competitors? Or have the differences in implementation undermined the advantages of a common EU high-skilled migration policy?The policy forum starts at 12:00 and will end at approximately 14:00. Participation is free of charge and open to all but due to space limitations, registration is mandatory.
