Biogas

generate energy from your waste

Anaerobic digestion of waste is a reliable technology which has the potential to generate over 10% of the UK's gas demand. In addition, it is a sustainable way to convert organic waste into renewable energy and biofertilisers. That allows for reduction of the carbon footprint. The number of plants valorising food and farm waste is steeply increasing in the last years. Although more than 100 biogas plants of this kind are already in operation, the market is expected to keep growing. This seminar showcases realistic and innovative opportunities offered by biogas as a way of utilising agroindustrial wastes, which are relevant to both small and large businesses. It includes an opportunity to visit an anaerobic digestion plant which uses the biogas in a 1MW CHP engine.  Delegates will be able to: – Understand the keys for economic viability of a biogas plant. – Know how to obtain value from digestates. – Save waste management costs. – Reduce carbon footprint.
