CAP 2014: A new institutional environment

Bayer CropScience and Brussels Academy have the pleasure to invite you to a workshop

Under the Lisbon Treaty, the entire decision-making procedure concerning the Common Agricultural Policy has changed : the European Parliament is now co-legislator and management committees no longer exist. Moreover, budgetary procedures and approval for international trade agreements have seen key changes.This has deeply modified the EU balance of power. Speakers: - Klaus-Dieter Borchardt, Director at DG Agriculture and Rural development, - Thierry de l'Escaille, Secretary General of the European Landowners Organization (ELO), - Daniel Guéguen, introducing the new system and moderating the debate. - Franz Eversheim, Director Public & Govt Affairs EU Europe at Bayer CropScience, introductory and closing remarks.Participants will receive a customized brochure to accompany and complement the topics covered.Please let us know whether you will be able to participate by 2nd March by responding to the email on the Event web page.Attention: For those who cannot attend on 6th March: A second event with the same topic, but different speakers, is planned for 22nd March 2012, from 16.30 -19.00 at the Representation of Baden-Württemberg, Rue Belliard 60-62.
