How do EU policies in agriculture, trade, migration and natural resources affect the developing world? Following a first report in 2009, the new Spotlight Report assesses different EU policies in the areas of Food Security, Natural Resources, Human Security and Migration against the benchmark of Policy Coherence for Development, a Lisbon Treaty provision to ensure that EU policies do not negatively affect the developing world.
A number of recommendations to address coherence are proposed to EU institutions.
The launch event will be organized as a panel debate involving EU institutions’ and civil society.
