Protection of National Critical Infrastructures

EU Member States have to ensure protection of their European and National Critical Infrastructure. They are forced to write security plans or adapt their existing plans to the EU Directive 2008/114/EC in order to safeguard vulnerable targets and protect citizens and property.· Do Member States have Crisis Management Plans to protect Critical Infrastructure?· Are they prepared for unpredictable incidents and man-made attacks?· Do Member States undertake international and inter-sectoral teamwork?This European Seminar encourages all stakeholders to exchange ideas and experiences on the protection of European and National Critical Infrastructures. Participants can learn more from real events and lessons learnt from transport and energy sections in order to improve their own system of Critical Infrastructure Protection. Attendees will learn more about the possibilities of cross sector cooperation’s.
