The European Security and Defence Assembly/Assembly of Western European Union is holding a Colloquy on maritime surveillance.The parliamentarians of the Assembly are really interested in this area. Two reports have already been discussed and adopted about this topic: "European Maritime Surveillance" (December 2009) and "The role of the European Union in combating piracy" (June 2009) on behalf of the Defence Committee of the ESDA.
