This seminar aims to raise awareness among mediterranian communities part of the Barcelona Process, increasing the degree of mediterranean interregional cooperation. The EU and the rest of Mediterranean countries have been involved in a dialogue on energy issues since the launching of the 'Barcelona Process' in 1995. In the framework of the current energetic crisis, the European Union energy policy focuses on promoting and developing renewable energy sources.EASY project was conceived as an initiative for the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme. Partners from several Mediterranean regions decided to join given their need for sustainable and energy-efficient urban systems. This event aims at fostering interregional cooperation on the energy field, presenting EASY PROJECT as a fruitful Mediterranean experience. Additionally, European experts will highlight different funding opportunities within the EU framework to achieve the 20-20-20 targets.In the afternoon session, a workshop on renewables and energy efficiency will be held. This will be the perfect forum for exchanging project ideas on Intelligent Energy for Europe.
