Modelling eGovernment Entities

Methodologies and Experiences under Review

The European Commission, IDABC, will host a workshop on methods in Modelling eGovernment entities on 2nd February 2009 in Brussels (attendance free of charge).This first pan-European meeting will gather initiatives and experts from Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Norway, and Switzerland.Chosen out of the SEMIC.EU pool of experts, several speakers will share their experiences in modelling semantic building blocks for eGovernment applications in their country. The overall objective is knowledge transfer by showing hands-on experiences when modelling these eGovernment entities. For what purposes is the UN/CEFACT Core Component Technical Specification the right approach?What are the parametres to identify the right strategy?What other modelling methodology has been proven by practical implementations?How can we facilitate mutual support and fruitful exchange of solutions? Beside sharing views on advantages and pitfalls of the different national and international methodological approaches is, the event will also be a good networking opportunity for attendants from different countries.
