Silvia Capezzuoli is a social development specialist and facilitator with IMA International since 2005 with over twenty eight years of experience in international development. Her work spans facilitation, training, mentoring, programme management, evaluation and research across more than 20 countries. She loves working with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, supporting their personal and organisational development, and equally learning from them. Silvia has held operational posts in INGOs, training consultancies, academia, and the private sector, working in multi-lingual contexts with diverse partners. She has lived and worked in South East Asia, East Africa, South Africa and the UK. She holds an MA in Gender and Development (Institute of Development Studies, UK), has lectured for the University of Sussex and interpreted for refugees and migrants for Brighton and Hove council. Silvia favours Participatory Learning and Action, and experiential learning processes. She has a particular interest in how individuals and organisations learn, embracing and promoting knowledge sharing as an integral part of her work. She is a keen believer in training of trainers’ (ToT) methodology and has been an active ToT facilitator for the EAFM Consortium since 2013. She has published papers with ACORD on gender and conflict, and more recently she has published on knowledge management with KM4D Journal.
