The rules for travelling to 30 European countries are changing as of mid-2025

The European Union is currently preparing two new border management initiatives that will affect travel to Europe: the Entry/Exit System (EES) ; European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS). The EES will register all non-EU nationals entering Europe for a short stay: both visa-free and visa-required travellers. The system will replace the manual stamping of passports at the border. ETIAS, which will be introduced after the EES, will require visa-free travellers to apply for a travel authorisation before starting their trip to Eu
