Soil, society and spectrometry – MRV4SOC hits the ground in Louvain-la Neuve in Belgium
Soil is a finite resource, and without soil no plant can grow. We need it for agriculture, forests, grasslands, and to remove CO2 from our atmosphere. A project like MRV4SOC, on monitoring, reporting and verification for soil organic carbon, should consider different dimensions related to soil issues: data collection, climate change, agricultural matters, farmers' requests, and other socio-economic conditions.
