Case study: 100% renewables today - The collaborative climate policy of Ringkøbing-Skjern, Denmark

In 2024, Ringkøbing-Skjern shuttered its formerly fossil-based energy system, and became one of the first municipalities in the world to be fully self-sufficient through renewable energy in 2024. This was made possible by early strategy development, the creation of a supporting institutional setup and joint collaborative efforts for implementation.
