Medical University - Varna was founded as a Higher Medical Institute (HMI) in 1960.
Medical University – Varna is a public educational institution of higher learning.
The university has about 6,000 students enrolled in 4 faculties (medicine, dental medicine, pharmacy, and public health), 1 Medical college, and 3 affiliates (Shumen, Sliven, Veliko Tarnovo).
The Faculty of Pharmacy was established by Decision of the 40th National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria from 16th October 2008.
The mission and the goal of the Faculty are student training in Pharmacy, as well as postgraduate and PhD education in the major pharmaceutical disciplines.

Dr Paraskev Stoyanov educates students of a specialty of the regulated professions of Pharmacy, mode of study: full-time, who upon completion of their higher education, obtain the educational and qualification degree of Master, with the professional qualification of Master of Science in Pharmacy.
