Hearings - Public hearing on First assessment of implementation of the landing obligation - 19-02-2019 - Committee on Fisheries

Landing obligation is a long-standing policy goal of the EU Common Fisheries Policy that requires fishers to bring all catch ashore eliminating discards at sea. The policy has been phased in gradually over the years and is fully implemented starting this year, 2019. The speakers’ profiles combine first-hand industry expertise with scientific analysis.
