In the Ostrenko Method, physical action comes first. The words arrive into a body that already knows what it wants to say. What remains is a voice that carries the full weight of physical experience.

The training draws on theatre biomechanics (V. Meyerhold), Psychological Gesture (M. Chekhov), and Physical Action (K. Stanislavski) - synthesised by Sergei and Gennadiy Ostrenko through over 40 years of international directing and teaching.

The week moves through a progression: individual body work, partner connection, ensemble building, improvisation, and scene composition with text.

For actors, directors, dancers, choreographers, circus artists, and interdisciplinary performers. The workshop addresses both the performer's and the director's perspective - how to work with text physically, and how to build that work in others. Previous experience in performing arts expected.

Sergei and Gennadiy Ostrenko have spent decades refining a methodology that brings performers to a place where the body, the voice, and the text function as one instrument. The work is precise, physical, and at times uncomfortable - but what emerges is honest.
