MoveS seminar in Italy: Cross border healthcare and long-term care: new developments and challenges in the EU
The EC-funded MoveS network will organise a seminar in Turin (Italy) on Friday, 18 September 2026. The seminar is organised by MoveS in collaboration with its Italian social security coordination national expert prof. Francesco Costamagna.
The MoveS Italian 2026 Seminar will be dedicated to cross border healthcare and long term care.
The seminar will explore the latest developments and challenges in the field of cross-border healthcare and long-term care within the European Union.
It will provide an overview of the evolution of EU social security coordination rules and their impact on patients, pensioners and mobile citizens.
The discussions will address access to healthcare across borders, sustainability challenges for national systems, and the growing need to ensure adequate long-term care provision in an ageing society.
Bringing together European institutions, academics, experts and practitioners, the seminar will foster an exchange of perspectives on how EU policies can support effective coordination, social protection and citizens’ rights.
