MoveS seminar in France: Protection of posted workers and liability in subcontracting chains

The EC-funded MoveS network will organise a seminar in Paris (France) on Friday, 11 September 2026. The seminar is organised by MoveS in collaboration with its French free movement of workers national expert prof. Sophie Robin Olivier.

The MoveS French 2026 Seminar will be dedicated to protection of posted workers and liability in subcontracting chains

This seminar will examine the legal and practical challenges surrounding the protection of posted workers and liability in subcontracting chains within the European Union. Bringing together representatives from the European Commission, academia, labour inspectorates and social partners, it will explore recent developments in the free movement of workers and the coordination of social security systems, with particular attention to labour exploitation, migrant workers' vulnerability and the enforcement of EU rules. The seminar will provide a forum to discuss how legal frameworks and policy initiatives can strengthen workers' protection while ensuring fair labour mobility across the EU.
Please note that:

  • Registration is open until 7 of September 2026.
  • Participation in the event is free of charge. Admission is subject to availability of seating.
  • The agenda is subject to possible modifications.
