ESPON and the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU are jointly organising a seminar serving as a policy-research platform for engaging with leading researchers from around the world in the fields of regional development and resilience, exploring the concept of exaptive resilience. The seminar will present empirical findings from a comprehensive ESPON study on this concept, examining how regions, particularly those in peripheral or border areas, adapt to external challenges by creatively repurposing existing resources and capabilities.
