Physical Theatre Intensive: From Training to Performance

Designed for dancers, choreographers, actors, directors, physical theatre artists, mimes, vocalists, musicians, and performers from various disciplines, the residency immerses participants in a communal environment that promotes artistic growth and cultural exchange.

Dates: June 23 – July 13, 2025 (3 weeks)

Location: Csurgó, Hungary

About the Residency

The international training program is a 3-week artistic intensive in Csurgó, Hungary, bringing together a diverse group of creatives from around the world to connect, learn, gain hands-on experience, and collaboratively create a performance presented to the local community.

Through practical exercises focusing on physicality, improvisation, and ensemble work, participants develop confidence in creative decisions, refine directing styles, and gain tools to navigate challenges like limited rehearsal time or new teams.

The program fosters collaboration across disciplines and cultural backgrounds, offering innovative approaches to rehearsals and performances in a global setting, culminating in a public performance at the Csokonai Közösségi Ház in Csurgó, where participants share their collective work with the community.
