CoolLIFE: Driving a sustainable future in space cooling
This event will present the project and offer a training session that will equip participants with hands-on experience using the CoolLIFE Tool to analyse SC demand at different scales (from local to EU-wide), assess demand response measures, and consider the best available green cooling technologies in line with economic, regulatory, and policy conditions.
The CoolLIFE project addresses Europe’s rising demand for sustainable space cooling (SC) solutions, targeting the need for efficient cooling strategies in the EU's building sector.
The project offers two main resources: the CoolLIFE Tool and Knowledge Hub, which together empower decision-makers, planners, and designers to prioritise low-carbon cooling in their strategies.
Participants will learn how the Knowledge Hub can support their work by providing access to quality-controlled, FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data on SC, an EU-27 country mapping of public and private funding schemes, and user behaviour insights essential for sustainable cooling planning.
