Stakeholder consultation on the CoR opinion "More than funding: local and regional authorities mobilising public and private resources for an effective follow-up on the Clean Transition Dialogues"
The European Committee of the Regions is currently drafting its own initiative opinion on this topic.
The European Committee of the Regions (CoR) is preparing an opinion "More than funding: local and regional authorities mobilising public and private resources for an effective follow-up on the Clean Transition Dialogues", led by rapporteur Åsa ÅGREN WIKSTRÖM (SE/EPP), Regional Councillor, Region of Västerbotten, and member of the Commission for the Environment, Climate change and Energy (ENVE) of the CoR.
This stakeholder consultation will provide the rapporteur with useful information to support the preparation of the draft opinion.
The event will be divided in two roundtables, as follows: 1.
From public funds to innovative financing schemes 2.
Cities, regions and businesses working together The draft opinion is scheduled for discussion at the ENVE commission meeting on 5 May 2025.
The opinion is expected to be approved at the CoR plenary session of 2-3 July 2025.
