Innovation Fund 2024 Call and Battery Info Day
On 17 and 18 December, the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) and the European Commission's Directorate-General for Climate Action (DG CLIMA) are hosting an info day to present the key features and award criteria of the recently launched Innovation Fund 2024 Call (IF24 Call) and the Innovation Fund 2024 Battery call (IF24 Battery), and present the lessons learned from previous calls to demonstrate best practices.
With an estimated revenue of €40 billion from 2020 to 2030 from the EU Emissions Trading System, the Innovation Fund aims to create financial incentives for companies and public authorities to invest in cutting-edge low-carbon technologies and support Europe's transition to climate neutrality.
The Innovation Fund already secured about € billion for cleantech projects through its previous calls for proposals.
On 3 December 2024, the Commission has launched three calls for proposals to accelerate the deployment of innovative technologies in Europe: the Innovation Fund 2024 Call (IF24 Call), the Innovation Fund 2024 Battery call (IF24 Battery), and the Innovation Fund 2024 Auction (IF24 Auction).
The info day for the IF24 Auction takes place on 10 December 2024.
