EIT Food North-West has teamed up with Matis, Orkidea, Iceland Ocean Cluster and Rannis to connect food businesses and scale up facilities from the UK with those in Iceland, a country renowned for sustainable and innovative food production.
We will host a ‘show and tell’ for SMEs, agrifood support organisations and scale-up facilities to connect and collaborate, in an event which will take place in Iceland on the 3rd-5th October 2022.
Why attend? On Wednesday 5 October, Orkidea in Selfoss will host the launch of EIT Food North West’s report into Controlled Environment Agriculture, with insights from Icelandic and UK businesses and universities.
Do you have a business challenge that needs expert advice?Let us know before the event if you have a specific challenge that you need solving and we can arrange a dedicated one-to-one session with an expert during the event.
This event is a great opportunity to connect with industry experts who have deep experience of the UK food market and working with buyers and retailers.
Who should attend? The event will consist of listen-in sessions, breakout sessions, tours of facilities and plenty of networking opportunities.
We’ve planned the event so it’s interactive and relaxed, with a mix of structured sessions and site visits.
Event AgendaWe will host meals, so you can explore local cuisines.
We will arrange visits to businesses, glasshouses, geothermal plants and the chance to see the unique autumnal land and seascape in the South of Iceland
