The last 2024 ENVE commission meeting will take place fully in person on Tuesday, 10 December 2024 from 11:00 to 17:00 in room JDE 52 at the European Committee of the Regions, Rue Belliard 99-101, Brussels.

The morning agenda includes a discussion on the end of the CoR term of office with a reflection on the prospects for the new mandate; a discussion about the impact of the work of the CoR and a debate on the priorities of the upcoming Polish presidency of the Council, with a focus on the policies in the field of environment, energy and climate .

    During the lunch break a ceremony for the signature of Action Plans between the CoR and some relevant partner organizations will take place.

   During the afternoon, the ENVE members will have a debriefing on the participation in United Nations Climate Change Conference COP29  (Baku, Azerbaijan) and United Nations Biodiversity Conference COP16 (Cali, Colombia).

The ENVE commission members will also have an exchange of views on the opinion on "More than funding: local and regional authorities mobilising public and private resources for an effective follow-up on the Clean Transition Dialogues on the ground" by rapporteur Åsa Ågren Wikström (SE/EPP).
