Plant based workshop v Potravinovom Inkubátore || Plant based workshop in Food Incubator

AGENDA

Workshop 1/ Drones as part of modern plant production management

In the context of the effectiveness of control and management of plant production, innovative tools and methods of non-invasive analysis of stands and optimized procedures in the field of nutrition, fertilization and treatment of field crops are implemented in practice.

We also classify remote sensing methods among such approaches.

These technologies fall under the philosophy of precision (precise) agriculture and are based on the principle of multispectral or hyperspectral imaging, where the physiological state of the vegetation is evaluated based on the reflectance of wavelengths.

This procedure is also transferred to thermal imaging analysis, where the temperature emitted from plants is monitored, on the basis of which it is possible to calculate various vegetation indices.

Modern drones are equipped with a wide range of sensors that work in the range of the visible, infrared and radar spectrum.

Multi-rotor, or fixed-wing drones have various optical cameras, infrared sensors, wide-angle optical or multispectral sensors that are able to reflect the view in real time and compare it with the environmental conditions, which positively stimulates the objectivity of the obtained and moving the problematic analysis of plant data to the same level.

1.

Introduction to the issue of precision agriculture

i) invasive and non-invasive procedures (advantages and disadvantages),

ii) development of non-invasive technologies and implementation in real systems,

iii) familiarizing students with satellite analysis platforms.

2.

Practical part of working with a drone

i) manual determination of NDVI and PRI indices,

ii) manual thermographic analysis of plants,

iii) demonstration of the drone (UAV) and description of the accessories,

iv) pre-flight preparation and legislative restrictions when working with UAVs,

v) practical data collection and flight control of the drone.

3.

Practical analytical part

i) transfer of measured data,

ii) interpretation and discussion of the obtained results,

iii) comparison of obtained data with satellite images.

Workshop 2/ What do consumers like? Let's discover trends in the food industry and sensory evaluate innovative products

The workshop is focused on the development of food products and the creation of prototypes that reflect current market trends and respond to consumer demand for innovative products.

The prototype development process includes the application of innovative procedures and testing in laboratory conditions, with an emphasis on sensory evaluation by consumers in order to increase product acceptance in the market.

1.

Market analysis and identification of consumer needs

2.

Development of a food product

3.

Sensory evaluation of the food product in laboratory conditions

4.

Consumer acceptance of the food product on the market
