Challenge Lab 2024 in Czechia | November 4 - December 17, 2024

A second life for bio-waste! Do you want to take on the challenge of bio-waste management? Then the Challenge Lab is for you. This hackathon, in which you will also attend lectures, mentoring or workshops, brings together students, innovators and experts to find sustainable solutions to pre-formulated challenges. Are you in?

The aim of this year's Challenge Lab organised by innovation agency JIC, is to find innovative solutions for further bio-waste management.

There are two specific challenges:

In cooperation with roastery Rebelbean -> Create an innovative solution that will help roasters like Rebelbean (and others around the world) find a suitable way to deal with this residual (biological) waste. So that it finds a new use and doesn't end up in mixed waste - and therefore in landfill.

In cooperation with myco company ->  Propose an innovative and environmentally friendly solution for the management of contaminated residues in the production of mycelial composites, which not only prevents them from ending up in a landfill, but also allows for their reuse or processing.
