EASA Innovative Air Mobility Implementation Forum

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is pleased to announce the Innovative Air Mobility Implementation Forum.

The event will start with a half-day session, introduced by EASA’s Executive Director, Florian Guillermet, dedicated to exchanges among authorities and industry executives on the status of the Innovative Air Mobility (IAM) and U-space regulatory framework, as well as to the unmanned aircraft system (UAS) and vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) industry market forecasts that will drive the efforts of EASA and national authorities in the next years.

This will also be an opportunity to present, in collaboration with the European Commission, the implementation status of the European Drone Strategy

The event will continue with one and a half days of discussions and presentations divided in different workstreams.

The main purpose of this event is to enhance the dialogue between the aviation authorities’ community and the European drone manufacturers, operators, U-space service providers and relevant stakeholders.

EASA expects this event to be a great opportunity to have discussions about the main regulatory implementation issues and proposals on best practices to support a safe development of the EU drone market.

The meeting agenda and workstreams will be coordinated with the national authorities and the main European UAS industry associations.

The event will take place at the EASA premises in Cologne.

Registration will initially be by invitation, open only to representatives of aviation authorities and members of the main European UAS industry associations, to ensure their adequate representation in the event.

From mid-September, registration will be open to all interested parties.
