Dunes Protect Us, Let's Protect Them #EUBeachCleanup 2024

Clean Coasts and Galway Atlantaquaria is delighted to invite the public to learn more about our dunes system and help keep our beaches free from litter.

The dunes in Grattan Beach, Salthill have created a wonderful environment for all types of Biodiversity that we enjoyed all Summer, so to thank the dunes for these free ecoservices we would like to give back some of our time through a Clean Coasts Beach Clean Experience.

The EU Beach Cleanup joined over 45,700 people who took part in 555 events in 44 countries, so we can make a huge impact and really want to show off the value of the dunes for protecting people and coasts.

The event is free to join, and takes place on Grattan Beach, Salthill, Galway City on the 7th September, 2024.

The event will take about 45 minutes, and people should be weather ready, wear old shoes, and please bring your own gloves.
