The Digital Europe Programme is advancing digital skills through Master’s programmes and self-standing modules focusing on key digital areas.

The 2023 call emphasized AI, data, cloud computing, and IoT, while the 2024 call expands to virtual worlds, edge computing, quantum computing, photonics, and robotics.

Additionally, it targets advanced green digital skills in sectors like agriculture, transport, renewable energy, and public administration.

Due to high demand and limited educational offerings, the call also promotes international cooperation and supports students financially, especially female students.

The objective of the call for this topic is to support excellence in higher education institutions, making them world leaders in training the digital specialists of the future and to increase the capacity of the educational offer in the area of advanced digital skills.

This should lead to the development of dynamic digital educational ecosystems where higher education institutions as well as innovative partners from industry and research work together to attract and retain the best talents worldwide.
