On 17th and 18th June 1971, ten European border and cross-border regions set up a Standing Conference of European Border Regions at the Anholt Castle (EUREGIO, Westphalia) with the support of the Council of Europe. 50 years later, these regions will meet again to evaluate the progress so far and the future perspectives for European border
