In the recent years, European industry is suffering several threats which impact its global competitiveness.
Cost of energy, automation, skilled professionals, social acceptance and digitalisation are only a few of them.
Experts identify innovation as one of the best and powerful tools to face these threats.
The European Commission has already implemented in the current framework programme instruments to incite industrial innovation.
The current debate on the new coming Horizon Europeframework programme is a good scenario to share successful experiences among different European industrial sectors and also to raise new concepts to ensure a fruitful use of the European funds.
